Better Late than Never: Entree’ Presented By CGM & Concrete Cakes

So I’m super late posting this blog, but I’ve been crazy busy with work, event planning etc.  Promise I’ll do better with blogging, because this is my passion!

On Sunday, March 25th 2012 I attended Entrée: A Visual Arts and Fine – Dining Event Series. So I know you’re thinking what is that? Basically Entrée is an event series based around short films and good food! The event was held at The Waterview Lounge Philadelphia, PA and it was a packed house. In lieu of March being Woman’s History month the theme was: Her Story.  There were spoken word selections  by Celeste Preston, Dulce and Ky. The film “A Night Catches Us” was shown, an artist by the name of Andre Jones displayed his artwork and did a live painting, and Spa East was there giving out free massage and consultations.  And last but not least the food was provided by The Pink Chef herself, Jerrica Holmes.  The food was Yummy!

So, I know you’re wondering what kind of food was served!  The Pink Chef cooked up a great array of yummy things to try.  She served, fried buffalo chicken wonton, penne pasta and chicken tossed in fresh pesto sauce, artichoke and cheese rolls, and last but not least the cutest little cake pops!  The people really enjoyed the food, “The pasta was cooked just right and it tastes really fresh” said Kenny.   Not only did the food taste good but the presentation was wonderful, and of course included lots of the color pink!

Pink Chef Catering was established by Jerrica Holmes about two years ago.  She made the decision to start Pink Chef  in order to make a name for her cuisine and break into the food and entertaining  industry.  One day Jerrica would like to see Pink Chef Catering transition into a restaurant. “If you have a passion for something, Just do it!” is Jerrica’s advise to aspiring entrepreneurs.  However, she also believes that it’s very important to think it through and have a plan.  And most importantly don’t get discouraged ” I’m still at that stage, when I sometimes get discouraged if things don’t turn out the way I want them to” says Jerrica, however the fact that she loves what she does keeps her going.  You can contact Jerrica via email at pinkchefcatering@gmail.com.
