Savory Four Cheese Burgers *product review*

Hello Avid Readers (and new readers too!)!

So I’ve decided to try something a little new….product reviews.  Companies are pushing new products everyday that are supposed to make things easier and tastier.  The question is are they any good?  So rather than you waste your money trying it, let me try it first! Tonight I decided to test out new Kraft Fresh Take: Mix and Grill.  The flavor I choose was the Savory Four Cheese.  It’s basically some bread crumbs and a cheese mix that you combine with 1lb of ground meat. I forget the exact price but I think it was around 3 dollars.  I used ground beef and made burgers, but you can also use the mix ins with ground turkey or to make meatloaf. So I know what your thinking, was it savory like the package read?  Well you’ll have to keep reading to find out.  Oh yeah, and by the way, what do you think of the new photography? Got a new camera  to increase the quality of my blog and the pictures featured on it.  I hope you love it!

This was incredibly easy to make, just don’t be afraid to get your hands dirty! Mix the contents of the package and your meat together in a bowl.

Once you have blended everything together, make your patties.  I suggest you make them on the flat side. It’s hard to get these to evenly cook when you make them too thick because the cheese will burn before its done. Now the directions said to grill……. its 26 degrees outside.  So I took out the old cast iron frying pan. I like a well done burger.  So I cooked them slow and steady.

It took a good 25 minutes to cook these babies, but they wear actually pretty good.  I could go for a little more cheese but I think I dried out some of the cheese by cooking them well done.  Also don’t be afraid to add your own seasoning.  I added a little cracked pepper and Mrs. Dash.

I topped the burger off with a little mixed greens and some cherry tomatoes on the side.  It was savory.  If you try this or any of the other varieties let me know what you think! I’m curious. I hope you enjoy them, I know I did!

XOXO,

April
